Jorge Miguel Sousa graduated in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (specialization Automation) in 2001, obtained a post graduation in Network Communication and Services by the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto in 2007 and a Master in Economics and Management of Innovation at the Faculty of Economics of Porto in 2012. From 2001-2003 worked at PT Inovação as a member of the team responsible for the development of solutions for the Intelligent Networks products. In 2004 integrated Altran for development of NEC 3G’s protocol stack. Since 2005 worked at PT Inovação, integrated in the team of network and protocols. From 2008 to 2010 played the role of team leader in a core network control system (interface with the telecommunications networks for the control of data services, including Policy and Charging interfaces). From 2010, holds the role of manager of the business division of Connected Society, "Smart Cities", coordinating the development of the following products: Smart2M on the area of M2M, Medigraf on the area of telemedicine, and Formare, connected to the area of e-Learning. Since 2016, at Altice Labs (a new company that incorporated PT Inovação), also received the added management responsibility of the following products: API Management, SDB – Service Delivery Broker. Also since 2016, manages the creation of an OmmiChannel Platform with AI technology that supports virtual assistants with NLP and NLU capabilities: BOTSchool. In 2019, at AlticeLabs, leads the coordination of Services platforms business division, where in addition to the aforementioned portfolio of products, also manages ABC – Advanced Business Communication product development.
